With regret, we must announce that the Night Nobbler event is to be postponed. Once again, the wind is not on our side. We’ve been monitoring weather charts constantly over the past 24 hours, and most forecasts are indicating high winds on Saturday night.
While preparing the route over the last few days, we’ve seen a significant amount of debris falling onto the paths. During trail clearing on Tuesday, we even heard a tree come down nearby — a rather alarming experience.
As always, safety is our number one priority. It’s a fun trail running event which, yes, we like to make challenging, but we also want to ensure that we can control the level of risk. We also have to ensure the safety of the set up teams and marshals in the woods who will be there for several hours.
In due course, we will announce a new date for the event. It will be in the new year as the long term weather doesnt look great for next weekend. Anyone unable to make the revised date will be able to apply for a refund. These refunded places will then be released for sale to those who were unable to secure a spot the first time around.
